Prov 11:30 "...He that winneth souls is wise."
What is Soul Winning?
Soul Winning is the act of going out and telling others about Jesus Christ, and the perfect plan of salvation.
Are We Commanded to Go Soul Winning?
Mark 16:15 "Jesus answered and said unto them, go ye therefore into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."
Yes, we are commanded in God's Word to go and preach the gospel to every creature. Soul Winning In the Bible

Why Should I Go Soul Winning?
"Why should I go soul winning?" that is the common question among Christians today. We tend to want to wait for the sinner to wander into our churches. We have become so lazy as Christians that we search for an excuse as to why not to go soul winning. Here are some prime examples...
~ If they are convicted, they will come to church! It is a very interesting fact though that God always sent a man when the Spirit began to work on a heart. Remember, he sent Peter to Cornelius. He sent Philip to the Eunuch of Ethiopia, and Philip even ran the Ethiopian Eunuch down. God sends men. We are to go and bring them in, "...Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." "But, that verse applies to missions," one may say. So then may I ask, is your city not apart of the world? Is your country not a part of the world? People from your city are dying and going to Hell just like any other place in the world. This is part of the world! ~ They should get saved at the altar! Amazing, Jesus Christ himself won a soul on the cross. God sent Philip to the middle of the desert to win one. Paul had one in prison, but we consider ourselves more of an authority on the topic than he, the Apostle Paul, who wrote more than half the New Testament under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Here's the thing, you want them to come to you, in your church, so that you can take them to an altar, and show them the same verses that I show someone on the street. What's the difference? Simply the fact that we are obeying the Captain's orders ~ We wouldn't want to offend people, that wouldn't be Christian! So, you mean soul winning is not Christ-like because we might offend somebody? Not Christ-like? Not like the one who said, "Oh ye generation of vipers..." That is an offensive statement. I don't think Jesus was worried about offending them, he just went about his Father's business. ~ What if they don't mean it? That really is not my concern. A mail man delivers the mail, he can not force you to read it. We were told to GO be a messenger delivering a message, I can not force them to believe it. Yet, I have done my part by going, it is up to them to do the rest. ~ Where are they all? Where did the Ethiopian Eunuch go? Where did the jailor from Philippi go? What about the lady at the well? Nicodemus went back to sit with the Pharisees, was he not saved? But we sit here and wonder where they are all at. Obviously God did not feel it was imperative that you know where they all ended up. So do not say that, just because they are not sitting in your church with a Bible in their hand that they are not saved. When did you become God? Here is the bottom line. God commanded it, will you obey? It is that simple. We could think of a thousand excuses of why not to go, but they are all of the devil himself. We make up excuses because we are lazy and we don't want to step out of our comfort zone. I challenge you, BE A SOUL WINNER! Don't let Satan trick you, he want to take more people down to Hell with him. We here at the Lincoln Baptist Church are committed to getting the gospel around the block and even around the world through personal soul winning. LET'S GO! |
